I didn't have ocean views, but I appreciated the fact that I had no outside light shining through to interrupt my afternoon nap. Unlike other cruise lines, there was no single supplement to sail solo in my stateroom. This not only saved me money but precious square footage as my single cabin came with just one bed, as opposed to the usual two. This meant I had more room to spread out and I never felt cramped.

One particularly nice feature is the two bathrooms; one is more of a powder room, with just a sink and a tub, while the other is a full bathroom, but it makes getting ready for the day or bed with a family much easier. Like the Beach pool, it has a whirlpool on either side, though these have no shade. The casino on Deck 4 jingles and jangles late into the night as well, conveniently located off the sports bar and comedy club. The theater also hosts the "Lip Sync Battle" final on the last night of the cruise, as well as Hasbro, The Game Show and the Love and Marriage Show on nights when the Playlist Production cast has off. WaterWorks is Carnival Panorama’s answer to an on-board water park and it has everything that you’d expect from a company whose main objective is to provide as much fun as possible. With its Long Beach homeport, Carnival Panorama draws a large number of passengers from California, as well as nearby states, including Arizona and Nevada. Expect a large number of families in the summer months and during holidays. If you're looking for a cruise ship that's big and diverse enough to keep even the most active person happy, it's hard to do better than Carnival Panorama.
Itinerary options range from as short as two days to a week or longer. For example, while predecessors had an IMAX theater (the first at sea!), Carnival Panorama offers a Sky Zone trampoline park. Anyone can take advantage of this and no reservations are required. I'm also a fan of the ropes course on the top deck, another free activity that technically offers great ocean views, but I'm usually more focused on the view of my feet and making sure I don't wobble. Like other cruise ships I've experienced, my cabin bathroom was petite, but included a shower stall, a sink with mirrors above, a storage shelf beneath, and so many towels I was never wanting for more. SkyZone is a 2-decks high indoor trampoline park (also first at sea) via a partnership with Sky Zone.

Of course, you can also challenge yourself at the SkyGreens mini-golf course or the SkyCourse with a series of rope courses. Certainly, there are plenty of ways to get in a workout while still enjoying the Mexican sun on Carnival Panorama. Sixteen rooms, all concentrated on Deck 2 of Carnival Panorama, comprise the Family Harbor, which also include access to the Family Harbor Lounge. Rooms in Family Harbor fall into all the main cabin categories (inside, oceanview, balcony) but you'll also find deluxe family cabins, ranging from 230 to 275 square feet. Family Harbor cabins with a balcony feature a cove balcony that's 45 or 65 square feet. The Carnival Panorama Family Harbor Suite has both a full and junior bathroom.
